About Oregon Certified Interpreter's Network
Oregon Certified Interpreter’s Network (OCIN) is a professional network founded in 2007 by State Court Certified Interpreters Ignacio Escudero and Oscar Nunez. Initially established to connect legal assignments with highly qualified court interpreters in the State of Oregon, OCIN has since expanded to offer interpreting services in Mental Health, Medical, Social Services and Conference Interpreting. With over 940 professionals speaking over 74 languages and dialects, OCIN serves as a bridge for communication for a variety of clients including government agencies, private entities, and law firms.
We wanted to take a moment to welcome you to Oregon Certified Interpreter’s Network (OCIN) and to share our story with you. In 2007, we founded OCIN with the goal of connecting highly qualified interpreters with those who needed their services. As certified interpreters ourselves, we understand the value that a qualified interpreter brings to any interaction. That’s why we are committed to providing the highest quality language services to our clients.
At OCIN, our mission is to empower people to communicate and be understood in any setting. We believe that language should never be a barrier to accessing essential services or participating in important decisions. That’s why we work tirelessly to provide equitable outcomes by working with certified interpreters whenever possible and leveraging our expertise to locate the best possible interpreter for each assignment.
Our vision is a world where language is never a barrier. We believe that everyone, regardless of their native language, deserves equal opportunities and the right to be heard. We want to create spaces that are accessible to all people, where they can participate in meetings in their preferred language. We are committed to making the process of securing language services simple, efficient, and effective.
